The genre of erotic photography is wide and varied, which makes it difficult to pin down a clear-cut definition. To me, erotic photography captures not only the physical connection between two (or more) people, or the connection a person has with themself, but also the passionate emotional connection. Erotic photography freezes a moment in time that makes tangible the intangible things that we can feel but can't see. It's an art form depicting the beauty of the height of human nature: sex.

I so often get people inquiring about shoots and they don’t know which “box” to put themselves in. Just today I was talking to a woman who wants to do a shoot as a surprise for her husband, but she knows he will appreciate more of the “classy” type photos that leave more to the imagination, but she wanted to do some that were more “slutty”. (Her words, not mine, but I approve!) She was thrilled when I told her we could get a variety of photos!

To be entirely truthful? Working against the efforts of my rational brain, my biggest fear was that the photos would confirm how I've often felt about myself... completely and utterly undesirable and unworthy. Thankfully, not only did this fear not come to pass, it was totally dismantled through this experience in combination with the self-work I did in regards to my self-esteem issues.
