Learn to rest.
Learn to rest. Take a hot shower and wash off the day. Drink a whole glass of water and replenish your body. Lay in bed and melt into the silence. Listen to the air in your lungs. Feel your heart, it's still beating.
You're still here, you made it another day. You are a survivor. You are a fighter. You can get up and fight again tomorrow, you've got this.
Love, if you've had a rough day/week/month/year I see you.
At the end of the day, you sit on the edge of somewhere just trying to grab a quiet moment. Take your moment, live in it, and know that you are a warrior. Even when you feel like you have no more fight in you, you'll be able to get up the next day and fight again. I have spent the last three months packing, moving, and trying to settle into a new home with a 2-year-old as a single mom. Right now, I am a mom who is so, so tired because doing everything… EVERYTHING… is hard. This is exactly the life I wanted, but that doesn't mean it isn’t hard. Today, I’m fighting to keep my eyes open. It has been a day, but tomorrow I will get up and do it again, because I can.
