Women's Empowerment Retreat through boudoir photography, yoga and meditation

This will be the experience where you find parts of your soul that you never knew existed, or have forgotten were there.  For 5 days, we'll live fiercely and adventurously.  Your retreat will center around boudoir photography, yoga & meditation.  We will take you on a journey of self inquiry and self discovery.  You'll feel a sense of empowerment to the degree that is only attainable by communing with a group of like-minded feminine souls in daring situations.  We'll go hiking, kayaking, and zip lining together.  We'll push our comfort zones.  We'll support each other with love free from judgement as each bares it all for a boudoir session on the beach surrounded by rocks created from the heat of the center of the earth.  We'll make lifelong friends out of strangers.  This will be a bucket list trip you'll never...ever...forget.

Kauai seemed to be the perfect setting, and when we arrived there for the scouting trip we realized we couldn't be more right.  There is something so very raw about Kauai's landscape.  The mountains rip up out of the earth and form jagged, yet luscious, fingers-like ridges that slope down and disappear into the sea.  The daily rains make the flowering trees come to life like nowhere I've ever seen before.  There is no way to come to this island and not feel changed by it.

Your Hosts

Your photographer, Jen Trombly -  An avid adventurer and compassionate friend, I strive to create a life around empowering women through body acceptance. I draw inspiration from dancing barefoot around a fire and all things nature. From behind my lens, I encourage you to discover a positive relationship with yourself while exploring your sensuality in a safe & liberating space.

With seven years of professional fine art boudoir photography experience, my skills truly lie in making my clients feel relaxed, unique, and empowered in sensuality. Everyone deserves to feel comfortable in her own skin at any stage of life and through my gentle, customized approach, you will be guided throughout your session into beautiful poses that match your personality and make you feel relaxed, confident, and safe.  Wherever your comfort zone lies - dressed or undressed - we will capture unforgettable portraits encapsulating your sensual side.

I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 2011 from Louisiana State University.  I received my Degree of Bad-Assery from the Universe in 1984. ;)   

 

Your yoga & meditation instructor, Alicia Willemet - Alicia Willemet is a certified Shambhava Hatha & Swan River Yoga teacher and the Director of Louisiana Yoga School. Since her first teacher training in 2009 at Shambhava Ashram, she has pursued teaching yoga and meditation full-time. Alicia has dedicated herself to sharing the practice and continuing her education with inspiring teachers such as Michele Baker, Kelly Haas and most recently Sanskrit scholar Christopher Wallis. After mentoring Michele Baker’s teacher trainings in 2011 and 2012, she created her own curriculum and has been offering 200-hour trainings in Baton Rouge since 2013. Seeing the need for a more cohesive yoga community and a way to support local teachers and studios, Alicia created Louisiana Yoga School as a way to support local teachers and studios. Her ultimate goal is for all students and teachers to feel empowered on the mat and to integrate their practice and the wisdom of yoga philosophy into their daily lives.

**Alicia was also my very first yoga instructor!  I fell head over heels in love with her style and have been hooked ever since.

What's included:

      • 5 days/4 nights in Kauai, Hawaii
      • All sleeping accommodations during the retreat
      • Full day excursion hiking, kayaking, zip lining
      • Uplifting, gentle daily yoga with Alicia Willemet
      • Empowering meditation every day
      • Boudoir session on the beach
      • 15 8x12 prints (with the accompanying digital files)
      • Meals at the hale (Hawaiian for "house") - there will be options for shopping and dining out as well.  (Some dietary restrictions can be accommodated)
      • Transportation to/from all group activities
      • Yoga mat for the week
        • **not included: airfare (start saving your points!), meals when we’re out and about, travel insurance, tips for excursion guides, alcohol, etc..**

All you have to do is get to Kauai: Breathe in.  Breathe out.  Leave breathless. 

Investment:

The Breathless Retreat investment is $3,900 and must be paid in full by May 1. A $500 non-refundable retainer fee will be due upon acceptance of your application.  This goes towards the total cost of your retreat and is not transferable.

Though we wish we could have all the women in the world join us on this retreat, there's only so much sunlight in a day... and we need sunlight for photography.  That being said, the space will be limited to only 6 (SIX!) lucky ladies.  We will be accepting applications starting TODAY!  Anyone who identifies as a women is welcome to apply.  Once accepted, be prepared to submit your $500 retainer fee within 5 days, or your spot may go to the next woman in line on the waiting list.  Fill out the form below to apply for our transformational retreat.
